Facebook had to turn to Twitter to tell the world about the problem it is facing and also issued a statement.
We’re focused on working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but can confirm that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack.

Even though the world’s largest social media claims it is not a DDos attack, the question arises, what is it then and when will we get to know about what exactly happened?.
For some users, It’s been over 10 hours of massive outage. Some accounts have recovered and they are able to perform regular operations on Facebook, but there are some accounts still struggling to post a status update, upload a video or a picture.
What exactly has happened to Facebook still remains a mystery but the people response to Facebook official tweet is hilarious. Take a look.
This is how big and creepy Facebook is. One company controls all of Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus VR and countless platforms rely on their login services. #BreakUpBigTech #breakupfacebook

Try resetting your router. Unplug and wait 10 seconds before plugging back in.

We should have a day long outage at least once a week. I got laundry done, cleaned floors, made perogies for supper, went for a walk in this beautiful weather, read a little. You know, the things people did before the internet existed. #FacebookDown 😀
