44% of Pakistani prefer business over jobs. Prince Trust International reports

There is a huge paradigm shift in the preference of young Pakistani people for work. Many Pakistani, aged between 18 to 36 are more inclined to do business than Government or private jobs, Prince Trust International reports. A London-based organization that vows to develop emerging and trending skills in young people to get their dream jobs or build a career, reveals an interesting report about Pakistani young people.

In their framework “Future of work”, Prince Trust research reveals that 44% of people from Pakistan aged between 18 to 35 look forward to establishing their own business and focus on scaling it up. This is higher than 40% of youth who still prefer to aim for a government job. The third category consists of 37% who wish to join private organizations that pay well.

The survey was conducted between 44% men and 43% women, 54% of a high number of participants who want to establish their business comes from Islamabad. 90% gave weightage to self-confidence, teamwork, and other related soft skills that are necessary for success in professional life.

88% pointed out basic schooling and academic qualification. The CEO of Prince Trust aims to appreciate Pakistani talent to opt for entrepreneurship and focus on scaling up their startups. The founder and the President of Prince Trust International, Price Charles also said that the organization will launch a campaign in Pakistan called “Generation Stand Up, StartUP”.

The new proposed campaign aims to focus on bridging gaps, increasing collaboration between all stakeholders such as Government, Private companies to extend massive support to emerging entrepreneurs in Pakistan.
