Bill Gates and Elon Musk are warning the world about the dangers A.I (Artificial Intelligence) could pose to humanity in the future. As Musk hopes to send a rocket to the Mars this year and wants to build a colony there in the next 3 decades, he believes A.I is dangerous as he has seen it more closely than anybody else. Elon Musk has big dreams, he wants to provide Free WiFi internet to earth and also wants to move to the red planet (Mars) for the rest of his life. Musk said this in an interview at Axios HBO documentary series
Mark my words: AI is far more dangerous than nukes. I am very close to the cutting edge of A.I and it scares the hell out of me.’ It is capable of vastly more than anybody knows and the rate of improvement is exponential.
I am increasingly inclined to think that there should be regulatory oversight, maybe at the national and international level.- Elon Musk
Elon Musk warns that the creation of ‘god-like’ A.I could doom mankind to an eternity of robot dictatorship.
Bill Gates however, sees both sides of A.I. While speaking to audience at Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Symposium at Stanford University, Bill said.
The power of artificial intelligence is “so incredible, it will change society in some very deep ways,”.
The world hasn’t had that many technologies that are both promising and dangerous — you know, we had nuclear energy and nuclear weapons.
In the recent past, Amazon’s founder and world’s richest man has also voiced his opinion about A.I saying;
“I think autonomous weapons are extremely scary,” said Bezos at the George W. Bush Presidential Center’s Forum on Leadership.
