Intense heat is expected to tighten its grip in June in Pakistan and Northern India. According to a report by AccuWeather, the current heat wave is forecasted to last till the end of June in the neighbouring countries.
High temperatures of 42-47 C (108-116 F) will persist across northern India and Pakistan at least in the coming week which means the EID festival is going to be celebrated in extremely hot weather in most cities.
The temperature in Jacobabad and Dadu in Pakistan has already touched 51 C (124 F) on Saturday.
In India, Locations that are expected to have the dangerous heat are Hyderabad, Nagpur, Patna, Indore, Lucknow and New Delhi.
In Pakistan, Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jacobabad, Multan, Lahore and Faisalabad are expected to have a high temperature in the coming week.
Actual temperatures will not be as extreme in Karachi with daily high temperatures of 36-39 C (97-102 F) expected in the coming week but the humidity makes the weather feel hotter.
Unfortunately, The upcoming heat wave is not expected to break anytime soon in the coming weeks and the much expected June monsoon rains are far away for northern India and Pakistan.
