Pakistan has introduced an innovative healthcare AI chatbot aimed at assisting individuals with hypertension. Known as the Heart Line Chatbot, this tool was unveiled during the 27th Annual Conference of the Pakistan Hypertension League (PHL) on Monday.
Developed as part of the Discovering Hypertension initiative, the chatbot targets the 32.5 million people in Pakistan affected by high blood pressure, offering essential information and treatment guidance.
Currently, only 11% of those with hypertension in Pakistan effectively manage their condition. Health experts have lauded the chatbot, a collaboration between Discovering Hypertension and the League, for its potential to tackle this significant health concern.
At the launch, Prof. Fawad Farooq from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD)Â stated:
