As expected, Bitcoin today surged over $6,000 for the very first time in the history. As much alarming as it sounds, the cryptocurrency also crossed $100 million off market capitalisation. This first de-centralized digital currency is giving the signals that there is no right or wrong price of it.
Earlier, it was amazon speculation that indirectly resulted in the coins price hike. Now it is the heavy trading volume that is causing price per coin to go higher and it is showing no signs of slowing down.
According to a CNBC survey, Bitcoin is heading to $10,000. CNBC ran a survey online asking “Where does Bitcoin go from here”?. It is also interesting to notice that JP Morgan Chase CEO Dimon has been very critical of Bitcoin, calling it a fraud and says “if you’re stupid enough to buy it, you’ll pay the price for it one day“.
What ever the fate Bitcoin may have in the future, the cryptocurrency has risen over 470% this year.
