Launch of Google’s 2 new Pixel smartphones is turning out to be a disaster so far and Google is hoping it is just temporary.
On October 4, google launched the pixel 2 and pixel 2 XL. Pixel phones were launched with the hope of competing with Samsung and Apple latest flagship models S8 and iPhone 8, iPhone X. Much was talked about pixel phone’s amazing camera and its quality before the official launch. Now the reports are coming in, there is a whole bunch of issues with both pixel 2 and pixel 2 XL and it is serious.
Pixel 2 XL has some screen issues while the pixel 2 is making weird noises.
Both phones were initially well reviewed and were tipped as one of the hot selling smartphones in the market when launched, tough competitor for Samsung and Apple as Google was all set to cement its place in the smartphone market place.
Wired reported “There’s no better Android phone, anywhere, than the Pixel 2,” while trusted reviews said it is “simply fantastic,”.
Unfortunately, thing did not go out as planned for Google. Customers have been complaining about issues with both pixel 2 and pixel 2 XL phones.
There have been few complaints from customers about the OLED screen in the larger Pixel 2 XL. These OLED screens are produced by LG. People have send complaints of Ghost of images and icons suddenly appearing on the screen of pixel 2 XL.

Pixel 2 on the other hand has been making obnoxious noises as lots of complaints are already received on Google’s forum.
“Whenever the phone is unlocked, I can hear a constant ticking (like the second hand of a watch) if the phone is against my ear. Doesn’t happen when the screen is off, or when the screen is on but the phone is locked,” one customer wrote.
Only the time will tell if the problems are permanent or temporary. But there is a whole host of issues Google has on its hand regarding both phones.
Have you purchased any of this Google phone?. We would love to hear your experience so far.
