When it comes to getting employment, college graduates suffer a lot. They pay heavy amounts of cash for their education and to acquire a degree. Once they complete their educational journey, they send their resumes to dozens of companies and organizations in the hope to get the job they dreamed of. They wait for the replies and continue waiting for those replies. But during this process their daily expenses never subside. The wait increases their stress levels and if they fail to get a job, their self-confidence shatters.
Until a person gets the job, the skill-building never starts. The skills are built when you find a job and start doing your work. The wait for replies from the job applications actually frustrates most young graduates. This has actually helped the freelancer market across the globe to rise; the young generation is now getting associated with the online market.
Millions of people are hustling in cafes, and co-working spaces, and are reaching out to friends circles to find work. Freelancing is not just popular with people who are unemployed; many traditional workers are also doing freelancing as a part-time job.
According to a study by Upwork and Freelancers Union, 60% of full-time freelancers have chosen this work style, which is up 7% from last year. In the US, more than 1 in three workers are freelancing. In Pakistan, freelance work is also growing at a constant speed. Many workers are giving up their traditional jobs in order to benefit from the freelancing experience.

The move of working on one’s own:
Working on one’s own by freelancing is proving to be extremely beneficial. According to research, 60% of people left their traditional jobs and adopted freelancing as their full-time career, they are now earning more money as compared to their previous job. 80% of the freelancers revealed that their income has tremendously increased by switching to freelancing.
Freelancers have no desire to go back:
According to Kasriel,
“Professionals are not only turning away from traditional employment, once they do most have no desire to go back”.
Freelancing provides the flexibility of choosing one’s own working hours, a location of own choice, and a schedule that allows people to enjoy their work and also pursue their personal interests. The flexibility associated with freelancing is interesting for most freelancers which is compelling them to continue working as and they have no desire of switching back to their previous jobs.
Freelancing prospects:
According to analysts, the demand for independent work is expected to increase more over the coming years. Many surveys have been conducted for this purpose which revealed that 80% of those surveys predicted that a greater increase in the freelancing trend is still to come.
