According to the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), the education cost index(ECI) has been released and the tuition fee structure for 2023-2024 was announced. To assist parents during the pandemic tuition fees were suspended for a period of three years. Based on Emirates educational cost index (ECI) and individual schools’ Irtiqaa inspection scores the increase is calculated.
Schools ranked Outstanding in the academic year 2021-2022 can raise fees up to 3.94 percent while schools rated very good can raise fees by 3.38 percent.
Fee hikes:
According to the ECI score schools rated good can implement a tuition fee increase of 2.81 percent and schools rated Acceptable, Weak, and very weak can implement a tuition fee increase of 2.25 percent.
A school must have been operating for at least three years and abide by the revised fee structure to qualify for a standard tuition fee increase.
11 schools scored outstanding in the latest Irtiqaa inspection, 37 scored “very good” 85 scored “good” 63 scored “Acceptable” and 1 scored “weak”.
