According to the EU commissioner of digital economy Mariya Gabriel, By 2020, 90% of jobs in Europe will require digital skills. In her tweet before the EU Dialogues event that took place on 9th May, she said;

In the event, she emphasized the role of digital skills and how she foresees the importance of learning digital skills in order to prepare yourself for the future. She also heavily emphasized on the importance of cybersecurity skills saying;

Her statement is also similar to a statement given in a report by Dell technologies. According to the report, 85% of the jobs that will exist in 2030 have not even been invented yet. This statement essentially refers to the importance of digital skills in the digital space.
Pakistani Government’s Initiative:
The Government of Pakistan has also realized the importance of Digital Skills. A program called Digi Skills is rolled out for Pakistani people to learn Digital skills. The program can be accessed at https://digiskills.pk/.
