Bank Alfalah has collaborated with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). The bank has upheld BISP’s digital cash transfer program starting around 2011.
This year, Bank Alfalah, along with other banks, won a new contract. It will manage 7 out of 15 clusters nationwide. This makes it the largest single contractor for BISP. The bank will now serve 4.3 million beneficiaries or 47% of the total BISP recipients.
Recently, Atif Bajwa, President & CEO of Bank Alfalah, and Muhammad Yahya Khan, Group Head of Digital Banking, met with BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid. They talked about their plans for the new clusters. They emphasized treating BISP beneficiaries with respect and dignity.
The conversation also covered the Bank’s plans to develop and launch new projects aimed at improving beneficiaries’ financial situations and promoting financial literacy to help them become financially independent. Bank Alfalah remains committed to supporting millions of BISP beneficiaries.
The Bank has digitally transferred funds to many recipients, reflecting its core values of empathy and responsibility. To further support beneficiaries, BISP and Bank Alfalah’s teams will work together on training programs to ensure positive and effective assistance for the community.
