About DTI

A project of the Bilquis Abdul Razak Dawood (BARD) Foundation, DTI is Pakistan’s leading non-profit technical training institute. Since 1998, it has trained over 35,000 youth in various professional trades, with many graduates finding work abroad.

Technical Courses and Mission

DTI offers over 60 technical courses. Its mission is to help underprivileged youth earn a respectable income for themselves and their families through a multifaceted approach that provides practical skills, support, and opportunities.

Focus on Women Empowerment

DTI prioritizes women empowerment by offering specialized programs tailored for women, including training in male-dominated fields such as welding and electrical work.

Vision and Impact

General Manager Murtaza Ali states that DTI’s vision is to help youth meet international standards. The institute focuses on facilitating local and international job placements for its alumni, who contribute to their families and the national economy through foreign remittances.

Slogan and Skills Training

DTI’s slogan, “Skills for Livelihood,” shows its commitment to helping underprivileged youth. The institute focuses on both technical and soft skills. This includes Health, Safety & Environment, Communication Skills, and Problem-solving.

DTI also provides technical training programs for corporate employees, focusing on health, safety, and technical skill enhancement. Major corporations such as Coca-Cola Pakistan, OGDCL, and Engro have relied on DTI for employee training.

Facilities and Certification

DTI has campuses in Lahore and Sadiqabad with modern facilities and skilled teachers. It is certified by international organizations like IOSH and NEBOSH and has earned Gold Status from NEBOSH.

Capacity and Achievements

More than 1,000 students can be accommodated at once by DTI. It has trained over 35,000 individuals, both male and female. Also, the institute has helped over 1,000 students to find job in other countries.
