The makers of the professional digital cinema cameras Red is not getting into the smartphone business. This time the company has revealed its plans for releasing the hydrogen One, a high powered, unlocked Android smartphone. The price for the device will be kept $1,195 but the titanium finish may cause the purchasers an additional $400.
According to the company’s claims, the phone created will have a 5.7-inch holographic display which will have the ability display in normal 2D media, stereo 3D stuff along with RED’s unique 4-view content. The company’s use of nanotechnology has made the extreme display flexible. There will also be provided a support for the augmented reality, virtual reality as well as mixed reality.
As RED is basically considered the best-known camera company so this new step is a bit surprising with the 4-view.h4v files with a phone. The company states that in order to act as a controller and an external monitor, the phone will assimilate into its existing line of cameras. Also, the phone is modular which means that its part of Hydrogen foundation is a special data connector that makes it possible for the external ad-ons to capture the motion and still images of perfect quality. For now, the information revealed about the phone indicates that it has a USB-C port, has a headphone jack, and takes microSD cards.
