Facebook fixes the iPhone camera bug within 48 hours

A day ago we reported that Facebook Is Using Your iPhone’s Camera Secretly. The issue was serious one for new iPhone users using iPhone 11 series.

According to a Verge report today, the company has fixed the issue and has submitted an updated app to the Apple store. All iPhone users — regardless of the model they use, should update their Facebook app as soon as possible,

We have also updated the app and can confirm the issue is resolved.

Earlier, the problem reported was, the app appeared to be activating the camera in the background without the user’s knowledge and this was naturally a breach of privacy.

Turned out, Facebook was not intentionally doing it. It was a bug in the latest app that triggered the camera function on.
