After Stories hit the Instagram and Facebook profile, it seems that Facebook is trying to expand the functionality further to brands and pages by improving the feature.
The company has now dedicated a Stories field in the Branded content section of the platform which lies under the Page Insights setting panel. This indicates that the improved Stories feature will be an extension that will be designed specifically for brands and pages.
The date for the roll out of Stories feature has still not been announced but it seems that all users will not be able to access the feature. The Stories feature was introduced by Facebook last January. This feature was considered a copy of one of the SnapChat’s feature but it came on the front as a more improved version. The company successfully implemented the feature on Instagram for its users. But right now, Facebook users seem to be less receptive of the new addition of the Stories feature.
Targeting brands and influencers by offering branded Stories seem to be a natural extension of the company’s previous efforts. The company right now is focusing on how to make this feature more valuable to brands and pages.
