Facebook has launched its Marketplace, should Craigslist or Ebay be worried, only time will tell. It is yet another fascinating addition to Facebook set of amazing features which brings people closer and promotes community.
If someone has offered a product for sale, people in their near by area will get to know the details and can contact the seller. The final payment transaction will be handled by buyer and seller, Facebook however only introduces them to each other.
Though the marketplace was introduced first time in 2007, somehow it did not gained much popularity outside USA. Today on October 3rd, Facebook has re-introduced the marketplace.
Buying and Selling on Facebook Marketplace is very easy. Like any other marketplace such as Craigslist, Ebay or OLX (in Asia), user takes a picture of an item they want to sale and add its details, put their location and list the category, the listing goes Live.
Right now the feature is rolled out in US, UK, Australia and New Zealand and will be available to everyone all over the world very soon.
