In August, Facebook announced a new video platform known as Watch that is going to feature live and recorded show episodes. According to FB, Now the platform is finally rolling out this feature to its users in the U.S. over the coming days. The platform will then have numerous video shows for people to watch, The Verge reported.
The creators will be paid to make 20 to 30 minutes duration of video shows by Facebook but the company plans to open up content making privileges to everyone. The platform was announced to replace Facebook’s current video tab on mobile, desktop, as well as on TV.
The social media giant has run out of advertising space on its packed news feed, therefore, it is a great opportunity for Facebook to attract the ad revenue. Facebook’s videos are regularly watched and shared by millions of people around the world so it is expected that this feature will make the company a major player in digital video.
