In a record total of 192 gifted Pakistani students earning this popular prize, Pakistan has once again received the largest number of Erasmus Mundus scholarships worldwide, according to a tweet from the European Union (EU) Pakistan account on Thursday.
Pakistan is at the top of the list thanks to this accomplishment, closely followed by India with 174 scholarships, Bangladesh with 140, Mexico with 118, and Nigeria with 109.
It’s important to note that the Erasmus Mundus program is a significant initiative for collaboration and mobility in higher education. By forming alliances with other nations, it aims to improve the standard of higher education in Europe and promote communication and understanding between individuals and cultures.
The program, which is supported by the European Union, awards scholarships to students from all over the world, allowing them to continue their studies in Europe.
The Master’s programs that are currently financed by the European Union are included in the Erasmus Mundus Catalogue, which is updated yearly.
The majority of these programs offer Erasmus Mundus scholarships, while some might not anymore because of the end of their financing period or the temporary permission to continue using the Erasmus Mundus name after funding has ended.
