Google introduces lightweight Maps, here’s how to try it

Google has introduced Android Go, a mobile platform designed for old phones with low RAM and processing power. Listed on Google Play, the app was first noticed by Android Police. The app also works on your mobile phone browser.

Copy this link and paste it into a new tab on your mobile browser. With few tabs, you will be able to see the light version of Google Maps.  The Map’s light version let you look up destinations, find info like closing times, get directions on a map, see routes, travel times and live traffic info. The only thing missing in this light version is turn-by-turn navigation.
