Google Pay is officially set to launch in Pakistan, with the rollout expected by mid-March 2025. The launch was confirmed by Google in November 2024 and will be facilitated through partnerships with Visa and Mastercard. Local banks will enable their debit and credit cards to support this feature.
Unlike the full suite of Google Wallet features, the service will focus on enabling Google’s contactless payment system in Pakistan.
Users can link their bank-issued cards to Google Pay via the Google Wallet app, which will also offer additional features like managing digital payments, boarding passes, and more.
