News that WhatsApp will actually notify people over screenshots has caused a panic among App users in social media but it seems like the news is nothing more than a hoax. According to 8Shit.net, “From February 5th, WhatsApp will let you know when someone screenshots your chat”. After careful investigation, no other website or a tech blog has covered this news which raises an eyebrow about the claim.
Also the blog seems to quote Jan Koum, the CEO of WhatsApp announcing the next version of WhatsApp to have the update but if you search internet or his twitter account, there is no such statement which makes the news dubious.
Chill folks, the truth is not out there!
