This is no open secret. Google Adsense is one of the best advertising networks. There are many competitors trying to match and compete with Google’s premier partner program but Adsense wins the race by a long way.
Since it is the best, the Adsense approval process is not that simple. Google wants to partner with the best people who can bring in a lot of true value to the network by providing quality content.
Google AdSense is strict when it comes to approving new applications for the partner program. Many people, especially from Asia often get rejected at first attempt because of silly mistakes.
However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind and by addressing them in your blog, there is a chance that your adsense application gets approved.
Basic tips before applying for Google Adsense:
Custom Domain:
It is always better to acquire a top-level domain like www.com. It should be paid, not free.
If you have a blog on blogger.com, you can apply there as it is also a Google product but that’s the only exception to getting approval for a free account. If you want to take that AdSense from blogger.com and apply on other sites, Google requires you to upgrade your account and apply again.
Domain Age:
Domain age does matter. Do not expect to get immediate approval from Google after getting your new domain name. Give it some time, most probably from 3-6 months.
Web Hosting:
If you use free web hosting and apply for Adsense, be prepared to get rejected. Always buy a good host for your blog. Free space doesn’t work, sadly.
Content Writing:
Google expects bloggers to write good-quality content. The content should be original, not plagiarized. Remember, when you apply for Adsense, each account gets verified manually by a human eye.
Privacy Policy/About Us/Contact Us page:
The privacy page is one of the essential requirements for Google AdSense. It Informs your visitors about what information you can collect etc. Also, the About us page tells the user about you, and the Contact us page lets the visitors reach out and get in touch with you.
The number of posts:
I believe it does not matter how many blog posts you put out there before applying for Adsense. I will be honest, I only had 3 posts when I got my account approved.
It is often seen, many people get rejected after 100+ posts and many get approval with few posts. It is the quality of your content that matters the most.
Google wants original content, no plagiarism to say the least.
Minimum Blog traffic:
Again, it’s a myth. You do not need to have good traffic to apply for Adsense. All you need is a handful number of visitors. The traffic, however, needs to come from reliable sources such as search engines and social media.
Also, Google does not like paid traffic and encourages organic traffic.
Blog Design:
It is very important to have a good blog design. Remember your account will be verified by a human. The blog should be easy to navigate and look professional.
Original Identity:
Apply with your real name, not nick ids. Make sure you fill in all form fields correctly and populate the form with a real address.
Good Luck!
