Instagram has recently released its list of people who remained most followed in 2016. Selena Gomez, the famous pop star occupied the top spot with 103 million followers. Taylor Swift account was overthrown by Selena which got 93.6 million followers.
The top spots were all dominated by women and the only men who successfully made it to the list were Cristiano Ronaldo (no. 6) and Dwayne Johnson (no. 8).
In 2016, Gomez and Ronaldo gained the most followers with 50 million and 42 million followers respectively.
