GPT-4 has been designed to be more creative than ever before, generating, editing, and iterating with users on creative and technical writing tasks such as composing songs or writing screenplays.
OpenAI’s deep learning approach builds on GPT, GPT-2, and GPT-3 by using more data and more computation to create increasingly sophisticated and capable language models.
Having spent 6 months making GPT-4 safer and more aligned, it is 82% less likely to respond to requests for disallowed content and 40% more likely to produce factual responses than GPT-3.5.
The company incorporated more human feedback, including feedback submitted by ChatGPT users, to improve GPT-4’s response time and behavior. On Its website, OpenAI says it worked with over 50 experts for feedback about multiple elements including AI safety and security.
