The international communications and technology company VEON is driven by a vision to provide new opportunities to customers in the digital world. VEON is present in some of the world’s most dynamic markets and in Pakistan it has partnered with Jazz to provide free of charge usage for its customers.
On the basic level, services including chats, calls, and other functions will be provided to customers but on the additional level, there will be some value additions. The additional value services will allow customers to order the cab hailing services such as Uber, Careem, from within the app. It will also be providing features such as hotel booking, e-commerce store, peer-to-peer payments etc.
With an annual budget of $100 million, the company has partnered with telecommunication by luring them through a revenue share. This means that customers will be able to get services free of charge for VEON usage or for any feature within VEON. Telecommunication in return would be sharing revenues from the margins that the company will retain from the third-party service providers. The company thinks it will be beneficial for everyone. VEON will operate as an independent identity in Pakistan and has a lot of plans and strategies for the future.
