We thought, WhatsApp dark mode chances of getting to Android phones look dark but we were wrong. The dark theme is finally coming on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp has submitted the updated Android 2.19.282 Version via the Google Play beta program.
Both Facebook, Twitter have dark mode themes and now, Instagram is joining the race to introduce dark mode theme too.
WhatsApp is looking forward to introducing the dark theme soon but it seems like the beta version has some bugs. The company is working to fine-tune the font issue. In beta version, it is observed that font in dark theme is a little dark too, finding it hard to read.
Once the bug is fixed, users will be able to switch to the dark theme to enjoy easy reading. This will increase the time spent on the app too.
According to Wabetainfo, a Twitter account and a website that keeps a close eye on new WhatsApp updates, another new feature that is going to become part of the new version is the disappearing messages option.
With this option, people will soon be able to choose if the message they are going to send should disappear with a few seconds, minutes, days or weeks.
If you set the time of disappearing messages in your settings, your messages will be auto removed from the chat. Snapchat is already doing it, so do the stories of Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp. But the idea of removing the messages automatically would excite many people.
