The company has launched ‘WhatsApp Business‘ finally after months of speculations and it is available for Android device initially. The app is free to download and is available in 5 selected countries Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S. Although the app was just launched today, it has already been downloaded between 100,000 – 500,000 by the businesses worldwide. WhatsApp intends to roll it out for all countries as well as for iOS app in the near future
As reported by TNW, according to a WhatsApp spokesperson – the current feature set will remain free in a long term but WhatsApp is planning on charging for additional enhancements, capabilities in the future.
How Does the App Work?:
The app provides basic functionality you would expect from a business app where you can create a business profile with description, address information. Also you can also create greeting messages and view simple Analytics to figure out which messages are most effective.
The whole idea is to let businesses communicate effectively with their clients and improve their outreach and grow their business.
