WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that allows users to create personalized AI chatbots directly within the app. Recently, the app also rolled out Human Chat Support to improve user assistance.
New Chatbot Tool
This innovative feature, revealed by WABetaInfo in version 2.25.1.26 of WhatsApp beta for Android, simplifies chatbot creation. Users can design AI Character chatbots by describing their purpose and defining primary tasks, with helpful suggestions to guide them through the process. This simplicity ensures accessibility even for users with no technical expertise.
Currently, this feature is in beta, with no official release date. Even beta testers do not yet have access, but WhatsApp is actively testing and refining the tool, promising further updates soon.
A Move Toward AI-Driven Communication
WhatsApp is positioning itself as a leader in AI-enhanced messaging with features like the AI Character and the new “AIs” tab, replacing the Communities tab in the redesigned Android interface.
