During Meta Connect, Mark Zuckerberg introduced a new update that allows users to interact with Meta AI using their voice. By pressing the waveform button, users can ask questions, and Meta AI will respond through voice, offering a more personalized and interactive experience.
Soon, WhatsApp users will also have the option to select different voice options, including voices of global celebrities, making conversations even more engaging and dynamic. Initially, the voice chat mode will be available only in English, with plans to expand language support in the future.

Meta AI’s Photo Interaction Capabilities
In addition to voice interaction, users can now send photos to Meta AI for insights. This feature can assist with tasks like translating foreign language menus or providing tips on plant care, enhancing real-world experiences with quick, relevant information.
Meta AI also offers photo editing capabilities, allowing users to adjust colours, remove unwanted objects, and apply filters for more creative control over their images.
AI Support for Businesses on WhatsApp
Zuckerberg also announced improvements for businesses using WhatsApp Business. Businesses can now integrate AI into customer conversations to respond to common inquiries, such as business hours, location, product details, and more.
AI can also recommend items, provide pricing information, and handle shipping questions. However, it’s important to note that AI-generated responses may not always be fully accurate.
Availability of Meta AI Features
These new Meta AI features are available to select users in certain countries who have updated their WhatsApp apps. The rollout will continue to expand in the coming weeks, offering more users access to these innovative tools.
