Success is a result of continuous efforts. A fundamental mistake every aspiring entrepreneur, startup, or internet worker makes is that they run after money. Few realize money is a byproduct of success. If you become successful, the money will automatically follow.
One becomes successful if one is passionate about something. Passion is one striking attribute that results in moving steadily toward your goal. It is very important to set a goal and continuously make efforts to accomplish the goals. Sometimes there are stumbling blocks in the process but one needs to understand that there is no smooth ride toward success. The road to success is often bumpy. It has always been this way for every successful person in the history of the planet.
Those who can withhold the storm are the ones who succeed. To embrace the problems in your journey, you have to be persistent. Persistency means, you have a firm stance and are resolute in your approach.
If you need something, you have to be persistent. There is no other way out. Continuous efforts without missing any single chance would let you achieve your goals. However, here is the thing. If you want to keep the success and do not want to lose the moment, you need to be consistent in your work.
Consistency means, doing something regularly. It means keep moving forward despite all the hurdles, external voices, and problems one may face towards their goal.
Many internet workers, especially freelancers give up very early. They give up because they do not get the desired results they once were very optimistic about. Success demands consistency and there is no other alternative to success other than hard work.
This reminds me of my favorite quote from the movie Rocky Balboa. While giving a motivational speech to his son, Rocky says;
This quote makes a lot of sense and has deep learning in it.
Life certainly is not about how hard you are on the offensive but the substance you have inside you to stand the pressure and still progress towards your goal. This is exactly how winning is done.
Now let’s take a look at the life of aspiring entrepreneurs such as Jack Ma, Bill Gates, or even Steve Jobs. They had one thing in common. They did not give up and were consistent in their approach to work.
Bill Gates revealed recently, he did not take a single day off in his first few years as CEO of Microsoft. Jack Ma has emphasized the importance of 996 hours as he believes, the more you work, the better you get at making money and becoming successful.
Consistency is the key!
