Giving back to the community is very important. One of the ways of doing it is through charity because this helps money float within the society and lifts everybody up. World’s richest man, Elon Musk understands the importance of education. He has donated $5 million to education group Khan Academy.
Khan Academy founder Salman Khan thanks Elon Musk for the donation in a youtube video. The donation is made through the Musk Foundation.
In the video, Khan said “Elon, I hope you really feel good about this,”
“This is going to allow us to accelerate all sorts of content. Our aspirations are all subjects, from kids to the early stages of college. This will accelerate our science content, allow us to do more early learning, allow us to make the software and the practice that much more engaging.”
Musk Foundation:
Very few people know about the Musk foundation. Founded in 2002, the Musk Foundation supports funding for research in green energy, space exploration, science & engineering.
Khan Academy:
Khan Academy is a nonprofit eLearning program focused on providing free world-class education to students all over the world. Students can learn from Academy lectures in videos, translated into more than 36 different languages. There are videos, exercises inside LMS (learning management system) for students to seek knowledge at their own pace as it is on-demand video training.
