After hours of disruption, SadaPay has confirmed that all services are back up and running, including
- App access
- Money transfers
- Bill payments
- Card usage.
Users can once again use the app without any issues. The company also reassured customers that their funds remained completely safe throughout the downtime, even when the app itself wasn’t accessible.
Why Sadapay Services Went Unavailable
The outage wasn’t caused by a direct issue within SadaPay’s system. Instead, it was linked to a larger problem at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Bahrain, which provides cloud support to many digital platforms in the region. When AWS experienced disruptions, it automatically impacted all the services relying on it, including SadaPay.
This is why the app suddenly stopped working for many users. It wasn’t just a simple bug or maintenance downtime—it was a backend infrastructure issue happening outside the company’s control. Since multiple fintech services depend on the same cloud systems, the impact was felt across different platforms, not just one app.

What SadaPay Did During the Outage
Even though this wasn’t really SadaPay’s fault, people still expected answers—and to be fair, the team did keep sharing updates instead of going silent. The main worry for most users was simple: “Is my money safe?” Thankfully, it was.
At the same time, they weren’t just sitting around waiting for things to fix themselves. From what they shared, the team was already working on shifting things to a more stable setup so this kind of issue doesn’t drag on again.
