Apple continuing with its Asia expansion

Apple has recently opened its store in Taiwan. Staffed with an initial workforce of 130 employees, Apple has set up an inaugural store in Taipei 101. The doors to the store opened up at 11 am according to the local timings but the Apple fans were reported to have queued in lined up to almost 68 hours to visit the store.

Apple by opening up its store in Taiwan aims to build a place for community and learning. The visitors are offered to access the company’s today at Apple programs in order to acquire knowledge regarding art, design, music, coding, etc. This is a good step by Apple to expand its reach to the Asian markets as, before this, Apple customers in Taiwan had to rely on Apple’s websites or third party resellers to purchase the upcoming iPhones and to get their devices repaired. Many of the company’s main manufacturing partners such as Foxconn are headquartered in Taiwan but get their factories operated in China.

Apple is coming in the list of the top five smartphone sellers in Taiwan with 15 percent market share which mostly spikes around the new device launches.

Apple is soon to be announced about launching its stores in Singapore and Korea. Moreover, the company also plans to expand its reach to the developing countries such as India.
