In order to cater the need of growing tourism, Dubai is all set to launch an app offering customers an access to the entire transport system, the statement was issued by Dubai’s transport authority on Saturday.
S’hail, the name of the integrated mobility system will be unveiled to the world on Gitex Technology on Sunday. The app will integrate all the Road and Transport Authority’s (RTA) metro, tram, buses, waterbus and taxis with transit services operating in Dubai including e-Hail, Uber and Careem.
Later on, platform will also integrate marine transit services that includes limousines, Palm Monorail and Dubai Trolley.
“The launch of this new package of apps and smart services heralds the implementation of the initiative of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into the smartest city in the world,” Mattar Al Tayer, director-general and chairman of the RTA
He also stated that the 2-seater Autonomous Air Taxi (AAT) manufactured by Volocopter will also be integrated in near future.
