Vesna Vulović, a 22 year old flight stewardess boarded a wrong flight because of a confusion on 26th Jan 1972. Very little she would know that this day would be a life changing date in her life. Notice the ‘2‘ in the date 26 and ‘2′ in the year 1972. The plane had a bomb which exploded resulting in crash of the plane from 33,000 ft. Out of 28 passengers, 27 died and there was only one survivor ‘Vesna Vulović’.
She stayed in comma for 27 days (an ironic number if you see the number of causalities above) after being rescued from the debris by a medic in world war 2 named Bruno Henke.
She got her second life, atleast that is how she puts it. ‘2‘ has been an interesting digit all her life. The accident had her paralysed from the waist down with ‘2‘ broken legs
Her survival from 33,000 ft without any safety equipment earned her a name in Guinness Book of Records in 1985.
She died on 23rd December 2016….
Isn’t that too good to be true?
