While Twitter is not receiving any new requests for verifying a user account, Facebook owned App Instagram lets you verify your profile. To request a verified badge, you must be a public figure, celebrity or brand and meet certain account and eligibility requirements.
The verified account with a badge has many advantages. People are assured that it is the actual profile of the user they are visiting.
Here is how you can request a verified badge on Instagram.
- Make sure you’re logged in to the account you’re requesting a verified badge for.
- Go to your profile and tap

- Tap
Settings > Request Verification.
- Enter your full name and provide the required form of identification (example: government issued photo ID).
