Some of the wonderful features from WhatsApp, Instagram’s sibling app, are coming to Instagram. Instagram Direct Messages (DMs) now can edit messages by holding down the message icon for 15 minutes after they are sent. This time limit is the same as what WhatsApp uses.
Additionally, users may now toggle read receipts on or off for individual messages or all talks on Instagram. You can change this setting in the account settings. It’s crucial to remember read receipts do not cover that end-to-end encrypted discussions.
Another useful tool is the option to pin up to three of your favourite conversations to the top of your messaging inbox. As a result, finding your most significant conversations—whether they are with your closest friends, family, or favourite groups—becomes simpler. Swipe left or tap and hold on a chat to pin it, then choose “pin.” You may, of course, unpin any conversation at any moment.
A new feature on Instagram lets you store your favorite stickers in direct messages for easy access later. To save a sticker, press and hold it; it will be saved at the top of the sticker area so you can easily find it later. You can now reply to any message using stickers, GIFs, images, movies, and voice messages, among other responses.
