But one guest stood out. It wasn’t a policymaker or a diplomat. It was a humanoid robot.
A Different Kind of Guest
The robot, called Figure 03, made a striking entrance. It walked alongside First Lady Melania Trump on the red carpet before taking its place in the room.
At one point, the robot even addressed the audience. It thanked the First Lady for the invitation and said it was honored to be part of a movement focused on empowering children through education and technology. It also greeted attendees in 10 different languages, adding a futuristic touch to the event.
Melania Trump acknowledged the moment, calling it special.
“You are my first American-made humanoid guest in the White House,” she said.
After the interaction, the robot calmly walked back along the red carpet—an image that highlighted how far human-robot collaboration has come.
What Is Figure 03?
Figure 03 is a third-generation humanoid robot developed by Figure AI, a startup based in Sunnyvale, California. The robot was introduced in October 2025 and is designed to assist with everyday household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and washing dishes.
CEO Brett Adcock later shared the moment online, calling it a milestone. He described it as the first time a humanoid robot had appeared at the White House.

Growing Competition in Robotics
Figure AI is not alone in the race. The company is competing with major players like Boston Dynamics, Tesla, and several Chinese robotics firms.
All of them are working toward the same goal—building robots that can function in human environments and handle daily tasks with ease.
A Glimpse Into the Future
The event itself focused on using innovation to support children’s education. But the presence of Figure 03 added something more. It offered a glimpse into a future where AI and robotics could play a direct role in everyday life—including how children learn and grow.
