Applications for NAVTTC’s Skills of Tomorrow program closed on 15 July 2026. The official NAVTTC programme page now carries an “Applications Closed” notice and states that the next intake will be announced on that same page, with no date attached to it yet. A lot of blogs and Facebook pages are still running “apply before the deadline” headlines for this program, which is why so many people are filling in forms that lead nowhere. If you want a seat in the next cycle, the useful moves are to register interest on the official page and use the waiting period to build something you can show.
What the official page actually says
Skills of Tomorrow is a NAVTTC initiative offering fully funded technical training with NVQF certification and job placement support. The programme page sets a target of 795,275 young people trained by 2027 and lists six training areas, all free of charge.
The status banner is the part worth reading carefully. It reads “Applications Closed” with the closing date of 15 July 2026, followed by a line saying the next intake will be announced there. Underneath the course listings there is a “Register your interest” form asking for name, phone number and city, with a note that the team will make contact when the course opens again. That form is the closest thing to a waiting list, and it costs nothing to submit.
Anything promising you a live application link right now is working from an outdated copy of the page. The one destination that stays accurate is the NSIS portal, which is where real applications are processed when a cycle opens.
Who Skills of Tomorrow is built for
The published eligibility criteria are narrow enough that many people reading about the programme will not qualify, and it is better to know that before you plan around it.

Two reserved quotas are stated on the page: 30 percent of seats for women and 5 percent for persons with disabilities. The full-time availability condition is the one that quietly disqualifies the most people. These are not evening classes you attend around a job, and the unemployment preference means someone already earning may be ranked below someone who is not.

The training areas lean heavily toward applied AI rather than traditional trades, which is a real shift for a NAVTTC programme.
- AI for Everyone (3 months): practical introduction to AI tools, prompt engineering and automation, covering ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and n8n.
- Earning Money Through Freelancing (13 weeks): profiles, proposals, client acquisition, international payments through Payoneer and Wise, plus AI productivity.
- Digital Marketing and SEO, AI-Integrated (13 weeks): websites, content, Meta and Google Ads, CRM funnels, automation and analytics aimed at the Pakistani market.
- AI-Powered eCommerce Mastery (13 weeks): building and scaling a brand across Shopify, Daraz, Etsy, eBay and WhatsApp Commerce.
- Certified AI Financial Analyst with Power BI 2026 (13 weeks): financial statement analysis, executive dashboards and automated forecasting.
- Graphic Design (3 months): Photoshop, Illustrator and UI/UX.

Is the NTS test the part people underestimate?
The published application process runs in seven stages: check eligibility, choose a course, register and submit online, sit an NTS aptitude exam, complete three to six months of training, receive NVQF and international certification, then move into hiring support through the NEXT job portal.
Stage four is the filter. Free programmes with large target numbers attract far more applicants than seats, and an aptitude test is how that queue gets sorted. Applicants who treat the online form as the finish line tend to be the ones who drop out at this point. First, submit the interest form on the official page and set a monthly reminder to check the NAVTTC news and updates section directly rather than trusting a third-party post. Second, build two or three portfolio pieces in whichever of the six areas you plan to pick, because certificates open a door and samples close the deal. Is Skills of Tomorrow genuinely free, or are there hidden institute charges?
The programme page states 100 percent free training with no fee required, delivered through approved institutes. If an institute asks you for an admission fee, security deposit or “registration charge” for a NAVTTC-funded seat, treat that as a reason to verify the institute against the registered institutes directory before paying anything.
Does the certificate mean anything to an overseas employer?
The certification is described as NVQF recognised with an international component, and NVQF is Pakistan’s eight-level national qualifications framework.
