With the installation of the updated version 2.24.7.3, WhatsApp users now have access to a new feature that makes online payments easier: a Unified Payment Interface (UPI) QR code scanner added to their chat lists.
The original assumptions regarding the development of this feature to improve accessibility and convenience for users to share their QR codes with others were made prior to this update, but its functionality would be different.
Users of the Meta instant messaging app now find it easier to send and receive money securely thanks to a new feature that allows them to quickly scan any UPI QR code from chat lists.
According to WABetaInfo.com, users no longer have to go through multiple screens or follow multiple steps to make payments thanks to the integration of the UPI QR code scanning feature straight from the chats list.
It further stated that this procedure improves the user experience overall and makes the scanning process more user-friendly in addition to saving time.
Some beta testers who install the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android updates from the Google Play Store can now use the QR code scanning feature; more testers will be added throughout the course of the next day.
