The highest resolution camera in a smartphone is 48MP. So far, Honor View 20 and Xiaomi Mi 9 feature these amazing camera sensors. There is news that Samsung may roll out an amazing 64MP rear camera in its new flagship S model, Samsung Galaxy S11.
In a competition of proving better smartphone camera quality, multiple sensors and cameras are almost a routine feature in the latest phone models from different manufacturers. Samsung Galaxy S10 had a triple-camera array and the latest leaks of the new iPhone also suggest that Apple may support three rear cameras too. With multiple phone manufacturers working on better camera sensors and quality, there is a big competition urging for better pixel density.
Samsung’s highest resolution camera technology could well put them ahead of the smartphone competition.
It is noteworthy that Samsung provides the sensors to other smartphone companies too such as Xiaomi, Vivo, Apple, Motorola, and some Nokia phones use cameras and sensors manufactured by Samsung. We may see high-density sensors featuring phones from those companies as well in the future.
