Scholarships for Pakistani students announced by Oxford University

Under the Benazir Scholarship Programme, the University of Oxford has committed to offering scholarships to students from Balochistan.

In this regard, Oxford University and the Baloch government signed an agreement in the presence of Malala Yousafzai, the world ambassador for girls’ education, and Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti.

According to the handout given by the press secretary to the chief minister of Balochistan, gifted students from Balochistan will be awarded full scholarships under this programme to pursue higher education at Oxford University, one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

The program’s objectives are to give Balochistan’s youth access to high-quality education and give them more power.
“We are proud to provide our students the opportunity to study at Oxford University, where Benazir Bhutto and other great leaders have studied,” Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said during the signing ceremony.

“We are dedicated to giving our youth the best opportunities because we believe that education is the key to unlocking their potential,” he continued.

Under Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s guidance, the current PPP government has accomplished yet another significant milestone. Bugti said.
