Custom chat backgrounds have been available in WhatsApp for a while, although primarily on mobile devices. Although the option was available in WhatsApp Web and the previous desktop app, we still await it in the more recent native WhatsApp Desktop.
Now that it has been discovered in the WhatsApp Desktop beta (version 2.2316.2.0) through the Microsoft Store, the feature is thankfully just around the way. As usual, the staff at WABetainfo noticed this update.
A ‘Personalization’ option should be added to the app’s settings with the newest update, allowing you to select from various chat wallpapers. Doodles on these backdrops can also be included or excluded.
The feature now only offers 15 preset color possibilities, but we anticipate that more will be released soon. Since there is no option to add your own images for various chats, this feature appears to be in its early stages.
After the personalization tab is introduced, WhatsApp will almost certainly improve it. Installing the most recent beta of WhatsApp Desktop for Windows from the Microsoft Store will allow you to test the functionality out for yourself. The only people who can access it are beta testers, so those who were expecting a stable release will need to wait a little longer.
