Elon Musk, the president and CEO of SpaceX, was charged by the senator’s Standing Committee on IT & Telecom on  Wednesday with taking an anti-Pakistan position due to his latest remarks against Starlink’s accessibility in the nation.

Members of the select group charged Musk of supporting India vs Pakistan in order to spread a misleading image about the nation. A lawmaker suggested connecting Musk’s open apology to Starlink’s enrollment.

Elon Musk’s challenging remarks were deceptive, according to the Secretary of Information Technology, and there hasn’t been any direct relationship between both parties to introduce Starlink to Pakistan.

Major General (R) Hafeezur Rehman, Head of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), explained that Starlink Internet will not be licensed unless the government of Pakistan gives its safety clearance. He told the panel that Starlink won’t enter Pakistan unless its activities follow the rules set down by the authorities and guarantee all traffic passes via approved entry points.

Additionally, he gave his word that Starlink will not violate Pakistan’s internet infrastructure.

Council Review Starlink

A special Space Regulation Council has been established to regulate satellite internet along with other LEO-based services, according to the PTA President. In order to discuss Starlink’s license among other space policy issues, its Standing Committee asked the Space Regulation Council to provide an extensive update in its next session.

A member of the Senate inquired about the current condition of pending safety clearances or Starlink’s registration system. Additionally, she cursed the IT Ministry for giving the Internal Affairs Ministry control over its duties, which includes the Privacy and Electronic Communications regulations.
