Christen Europe’s “Dark Age” was a chaotic period before the 1100s. The Islamic culture gave rise to intellectual activity and brought the revolution of science. Islamic contributions touched every facet of life such as science, literature, theology, aesthetics, philosophy, etc. Europe benefited from this unique civilization and absorbed all the knowledge which worked as a foundation for the development of Western civilization.
The contributions of Muslim scholars have been greatly recognized by historians. Islam is regarded as a religion of complete civilization and not just a form of performing religious rituals. Muslim scholars excelled in areas like astronomy, mathematics, geography, and medicine and gave the world everything which we all think is a contribution by Europe. Many Muslim scholars brought the positive impact of Islam to the entire world and encouraged mankind to pursue knowledge. In Pakistan, there are many scholars that study and preach religious teachings and values.
The services of Pakistani scholars and politicians have been highlighted by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre (MABDA) which is an affiliated entity of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Amman. This is a non-profit organization that is independent of state control. In order to serve humanity at large, it has highlighted the contribution of people who are promoting compassion, tolerance, and patience around the world.
