After banning TikTok app for showcasing, promoting vulgar and indecent content in Pakistan, PTA unbans the app within 12 days.
Regulatory body PTA says that TikTok has given complete assurances to block all accounts that are reported for spreading obscenity and immorality.
“TikTok is being unlocked after assurance from management that they will block all accounts repeatedly involved in spreading obscenity and immorality,” the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said in a statement on Monday.

After the ban was imposed, TikTok issued a statement vowing to engage with PTA to enforce and comply with local laws.
“Over the past year, we’ve made concerted efforts to address questions from the Government of Pakistan around our content moderation process, including significantly increasing the capacity of our local language content moderation team,” TikTok said in a statement.
