In the coming years, Apple seems completely poised to change its typical release tradition. For doing so, it is planning to release three new iPhones in 2018. The unique thing about these iPhones would be that they will all have the OLED screens.
But before that, Apple is set to release its premium handset i.e. the iPhone 8. This is the model that is expected to be a completely revamped version with an OLED screen, no home button, and price much above the usual versions of the iPhones. It is expected to be priced at $1,000. Many rumors are circulating regarding the release of the affordable versions along with the premium one. These models will be similar to iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus.
In 2018, Apple plans to bring the OLED screens to all three of its iPhones and they are something the company is already working on. For this purpose, Apple will require tens of millions of OLED screens because of which the company may miss out some of the key components. For now, the OLED screens are only being developed by the Samsung Display on a larger scale but other companies are struggling to meet the demand. This can force Apple to delay the release of its devices till 2019. The names for these OLED smart devices will be revealed at the company’s famous product launch.
