Earlier this year, it was announced by Facebook that the WhatsApp will stop working on these phones soon. Now WhatsApp has announced that it will stop all kind of support to Windows phone users after December 31. It means, it is time for all loyal Windows phone users to switch to Android or iOS or perhaps ‘HongMeng‘, an upcoming Huawei operating system.
Microsoft has terminated support for Windows Phone. As a consequence, WhatsApp will stop working on this phone after 12/31/2019.
So it means, if you are a regular Windows phone user, WhatsApp will not work for you in 2020 and it is time to switch to another phone.
The company also confirmed that it has stopped working on app updates for Windows phones.
Below is the complete list of platforms where WhatsApp will stop working soon.
- Nokia S40Â after December 31, 2019
- All Windows Phone operating systems after December 31, 2019
- Android versions 2.3.7 and older after February 1, 2020
- iPhone iOS 7 and older after February 1, 2020
