Live Translate is a function that Samsung is developing that will allow for real-time language translation. This feature may soon be accessible in WhatsApp. A trusted source, @UniverseIce, mentioned that WhatsApp will be one of the first apps to get this feature, but no exact date was given.
Samsung has said that other apps will also get Live Translate but didn’t say which ones. Right now, Live Translate is built into Samsung’s messaging app and works during phone calls. There’s also a separate tool for quick audio translations.
According to SamMobile, this feature also works for audio calls on WhatsApp. This means you could get translations while talking to someone and in your text messages.
All About the AI
Samsung‘s Galaxy AI will bring real-time translation to WhatsApp starting July 6, 2024.
Many phone makers are adding lots of AI features to their devices. Apple is introducing new Apple Intelligence features for iPhones later this year.
Google is also busy with AI. The new Pixel 8a has AI-generated wallpapers, live translation for calls, and AI-powered photo editing.
Samsung permits third-party apps to use these functionalities because it does not want to lag in AI. On July 10 at the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung may unveil its new AI features. A few of the eagerly awaited new goods are the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
