WaBetaInfo reported that Meta-owned WhatsApp is working on a new update that would enable users to link an iPad as a companion device.
The new update, which is listed on the app-tracking website as “iPad support — linked device” and is still in development, has not yet been made available to beta testers.
The new element will empower clients to connect an iPad to their Android WhatsApp account in an ensuing update.

Users were able to link an additional iOS device to an existing WhatsApp account thanks to an earlier announcement made by the instant messaging app. Users could connect up to four devices without compromising security or privacy.
WhatsApp is currently working on adding support for iPad as a new linked device in the most recent update.
The screen capture above demonstrates the way that iPad can at last be connected to your WhatsApp account on Android.
The companion mode has recently been made available on iOS and is gradually being made available to some accounts, so we can deduce that the next step is to release a WhatsApp app that is compatible with iPads. The WhatsApp observer stated, “The fact that WhatsApp is currently working to make the application recognize iPad as a linked device may confirm that the application will be released to the public soon.”
